Authentic Spirits, Crafted at Home in Oakleigh
Oakleigh has long been one of Melbourne’s most vibrant cultural and culinary precincts. For many locals, producing a bespoke spirit isn’t just a hobby. It’s a way to honour a craft that’s been passed down for generations.
Reconnect with Heritage, Reimagined
A home distilling setup lets you brew traditional spirits with modern precision. Our kits pair traditional copper alembic design with contemporary engineering, so the spirit you produce honours the past while standing up to today’s craft scene.
Compact, Considered Equipment
Our range spans entry-level pot stills through to advanced setups featuring copper alembic distillation lids, condensers, dephlegmators, stainless steel filter systems, pressure relief valves and precision beeping alarm thermometers. Got a dedicated garage in a brick veneer home? A spare nook in a townhouse? There’s an option that fits comfortably and runs safely.
Legal and Compliant for Personal Use
Our home distilling kits are designed for personal use and built to comply with Australian law [Source: ato.gov.au]. They’re well suited for safe setup within homes across the City of Monash council area.
Designed for Melbourne’s Climate
Distilling demands precise temperature control, and Melbourne’s variable seasons don’t make that easy. Cool, damp winters one minute, warm summers the next. Our equipment, including accurate thermometers and quality condensers, helps you hold the consistency needed for clean, refined spirits all year round.

Frequently Asked Questions
Home distilling for personal use is regulated by the Australian Taxation Office [Source: ato.gov.au]. Our kits are designed to align with personal-use guidelines, and we’re happy to walk you through the requirements before you get started.
A typical starter kit includes a boiler or pot still, condenser, thermometer and basic fittings. We also stock essences, turbo yeasts, carbon filters and oak chunks, so you can refine and flavour your spirit right from the first batch.
Yes. Our kits are compact and well-suited to a range of housing types, including California Bungalows, post-war brick veneers, modern townhouses and apartments. A garage, laundry or spare room usually does the trick.
Yes, our copper alembic domes and pot stills are the ideal choice for honoring heritage methods. They allow the distinct, fruit-forward characteristics of fresh grape marc or pomace from the local wine vintage to carry over into the distillate, creating an authentic, traditional European drop with modern structural safety.
Yes. If your goal is to turn out an absolute blank slate neutral spirit for flavor infusion or liqueur blending, we stock top-tier stainless steel reflux columns. These columns continuously refine the vapor during the run to deliver an incredibly high-proof, ultra-pure neutral base up to 93% ABV in a single session.
Your loyalty rewards points accumulate with every single dollar spent across our online or Bayswater store. This means your regular top-ups of carbon cartridges, activated carbon refills, turbo yeasts, and Top Shelf essences continuously stack points that can be redeemed for direct cash discounts on your next hardware upgrade.
Absolutely. Our copper alembic stills are ideal for traditional fruit and grape-based spirits, and our team can recommend the right yeasts, botanicals and accessories to honour your family’s heritage with a modern touch.
